RK's Residence

RK's House stands as a testament to dreams and audacity, a residence that weaves together the threads of history, love, and ambition. Conceived in the early 90s, this circular abode was born from the dream of its original owner, who envisioned a home that embraced the curves of life. Over the years, and following her departure, the house fell into disuse. It was only later that her daughter and family decided to breathe new life into this space. The project not only pays tribute to the matriarch by preserving the original form and the timeless beauty of exposed brick walls, but also breathes fresh life into its aesthetic. The addition of eaves in the new roofing, along with carefully placed pillars and surface treatments, harmoniously complement the reclaimed bricks on the facade. Functionality has been enhanced, with the creation of a corridor in the private area, separating the bedrooms from the living room that was once directly connected. The perimeter veranda has been removed, allowing for expanded bedrooms and the creation of a sprawling gourmet space at the front of the residence. This newly acquired area capitalizes on the breathtaking city views and the poolside leisure area. The result is a home woven from dreams and daring desires, a tapestry of ambition and difference. Many years have passed, stories have been lived, and new tales await their telling. It has been both a great challenge and an immense pleasure to be a part of the renewal of this home, built with such effort and care. Honoring its history, cherishing its architecture, and elevating the legacy of someone who once dared to dream, leaving behind a legacy as significant as this.
