MM's House, a stunning single-story residence nestled in Brasília, was masterfully designed for a young couple and their two children. The project embarked on an initial challenge – a 2500 square-meter plot graced by two majestic 'pequizeiro' trees, native to the Brazilian Cerrado, and protected by law against removal. The design ingeniously embraces these arboreal treasures, particularly the central one, harmoniously intertwining the built environment with the natural surroundings. The client's profound appreciation for the visual arts imparts a daring aesthetic rarely witnessed in my portfolio, culminating in the dynamic interplay of block-like volumes in the private quarters. These spaces are connected by a glass corridor that offers panoramic views of the embraced 'pequizeiro', creating an outdoor sanctuary beneath its sprawling canopy. The main volume of the residence features an angular façade, showcasing the entrance and a soaring double-height interior, a bold statement mirrored in the design of the leisure area and pool. This outdoor haven includes seating and a fireplace adjacent to the poolside bar, embodying a spirit of audacious creativity that defines MM's House.
